SOUTH COLUMBIA
South Columbia is located in the Southeast section of the Town of Columbia. The LLC owns a fenced yard facility and the former milk plant located at the northwest corner of the South Columbia terminal.
UC&SV LLC is actively seeking to develop the terminal area into a regional marketplace for area farm raised products. The site also offers narrow gauge railroad development partners to have access to a base of operations in conjunction with the marketplace retail operation.
This schematic of the South Columbia Terminal District at "Old Milepost" 306 indicates
where the old creamery and siding into the feed store on the west side of the railroad once stood. The
expanded area on the east side is where the South Columbia Station once stood.
A frequent visitor to South Columbia was the Newark Milk and Cream Company plant mechanic

The new creamery and storage area are located on 3.2 acres along McKoons Road.

South Columbia Station and old creamery on the north side of McKoons Road in this undated photograph. Passenger trains stopped at this station for 68 years giving the community around the Station a vibrant reminder that they were connected to the outside world.
