THE TOWN OF Winfield

The Town of Winfield along the UC&SV route consists of flatlands and the beginning of the eastbound grade up "Richfield Hill" at East Winfield . Total mileage in the Town is 6.59 miles between mileposts 280.22 and 286.81. Below are just a few of the scenic highlights in the Town.

Looking east towards East Winfield at Jones Road.

Just east of "New milepost" 283 is the locale of East Winfield.

East Winfield once had a water tower and feed pipe for the water

the steam engines required. The grade up "Richfield Hill" is a short

distance ahead and the steam engines would work hard and use extra

water as they worked they way towards "Chepachet" and Cedarville Station.
